Coach crappy I mean Cally is a good coach I will admit this and I also think in time Nebraska will be a consistent win 7, 8, 9 team but Cally will never take Nebraska where they need to be.

A true HUSKER fan doesn't have to look stuff up. Just look at the time of your post and the time of my reply... AS I SAID BEFORE I AM SW VA's BIGGEST HUSKER FAN!!!!!
i think Nebraska got a good guy Tech was looking at last year...Barry Turner maybe? he'd be a DL
i don't get at all why you think Callahan isn't a good fit there Herb...if nothing else he can say "look, i know what it takes to get you to the NFL, hop on board and ill take you there" now while Al Groh can say the same thing there are 3 differences....1) Nebraska is a much easier sell than UVa...2) Callahan isn't as piss poor at player development as Al Growth....and 3) it's a known fact that anyone who would pick UVa has to be a homosexual
I agree with whoever said the Flexbone isn't that exciting to watch. It is a very difficult offense to get adjusted to, but when defenses learn not to over pursue, this offense is highly ineffective. It also is not an offense that is very successful if you get behind by more than 7 points early.
Defenses can key on a certain back, just line up on the opposite side of him, or if he is at fullback, then your "wide receiver-type" wing backs better be great blockers or a good defense can just bring the outside linebackers.
If I was coaching I would rather run a wishbone or power T than a Flexbone, because atleast then the backers and line can't shift and shut down your offense.
Now if you have a team with three or more solid running backs then this offense can win you alot of games because of all the misdirection. However if you are shallow in the depth department or dont have alot of team speed than I would not recommend running this offense.
Like I said I think he will produce winners in time but not powerhouses.
Bornred I have figured you out, you are some kid who saw Eric Crouch play and said hey Nebraska is cool.
I guess basically time will tell what Cally can do. Not only his coaching abilities but his off the field antics would rub me raw, Tom Osborne had 100x the class of Cally.
Yes Barry Turner a DE/OLB who had a pretty good freshman year
hadnt heard any update on him...but i know he was one i wouldve liked to have had...from Nashville i believe

stupid liberals.
but honestly here...who would wanna come to Nebraska?? all youre gonna get coaching-wise would be an unproven no named coach who you would hope would be flying under the radar
why is this you might ask?? well look at who they fired..Frank Solich goes 9-3 and gets fired??? who wants to have the pressure of having to win 10 games per year for job security? be happy with Callahan you're lucky he was fired at Oakland
Try Jarvis Redwine and I.M.Hipp you HUSKER wannabe!!! You need to get a new favorite team. Like colorado, you moron!!!!
